In 2024, catastrophic floods hit Rio Grande do Sul, shutting down businesses, destroying equipment and wiping out contracts overnight. Contrate.rs was built in response as a digital platform connecting local creative, tech and cultural professionals with clients from unaffected regions, collectively built by the people it was meant to serve. Its' campaign reached over a million people without a single cent spent in media.

The identity had two jobs: make RS professionals look credible, and make the platform feel safe to use in an emergency. The state flag's colors grounded it locally without leaning on regional clichés. Illustrations were drawn to feel inclusive across different audiences. The name itself is a call to action: contrate means "hire" in Portuguese, and the website URL is hidden inside the logo through the flag's circle motif.

The registration and search system on the platform were optimized to facilitate access via mobile devices, allowing agile connections between parties and guaranteeing the veracity of information through CNPJ verification, the Brazilian National Registry of Legal Entities.
Amidst the chaos caused by the floods, Contrate RS became a support point, raising hopes for economic recovery and representing a potential new beginning amidst all the tragedy, quickly reaching more than 300 registered companies and independent professionals. The platform gained broad spontaneous media coverage in media outlets in Rio Grande do Sul and other states, and through partnerships with influencers, it organically reached more than 1 million and 350 thousand people on social media, helping to amplify the message beyond the local context of those affected.
